Nice Guys/Gals Finish First

September 13, 2011 - by Mark Back in my early blogging days I posted several times on the topic of being nice. In short it takes no effort and people want to do things for people they like. Conversely if you dislike some one there is a good chance they will get minimum effort from you and others. Maya Angelou once said: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." If your genuine, positive and dignified - chances are pretty good that people will respond to you in business and in life. I have had many bosses in my career, some nice and some not so nice. I have had to work hard for all of them, but being nice sometimes brings out just a little more effort. And I remember how everyone of them made me feel. Maya was right, and treating people nicely goes a long way...
